A LIVING RECORD
I use this website to keep track of myself over time and externalize as much of myself as I reasonably can: what I believe, what I’m building, what I’m interested in, how I look, and whatever else I think is worth documenting.
I think it’s pretty hard for us to actually understand ourselves. Our cognition is imperfect, our perception of ourselves is biased, our attention is constantly being pulled elsewhere, and memory gets less reliable over time. Most of life is spent reacting to whatever is directly in front of us instead of deliberately keeping track of who we are. This site gives me somewhere outside my own head to put all of that so I can come back to it later and see what stays consistent and what changes.
It also isn’t meant to be entirely self-authored. Other people can add how they see me, challenge what I believe, and point out where they think I’m wrong.
Hopefully it helps me keep learning, changing, and correcting myself in my own way without rewriting the past around whoever I become later.
ProtoDivine came from my old username, NearDivine. I liked “divine” as something to move toward, and “proto” fit better because it means something still being developed. I also just like making prototypes and constantly experimenting, so it fits me pretty well. That matches the point of this site too: keeping a record of myself while I’m still figuring things out.
VERSION RECORD
CURRENT RELEASE / ACTIVE
I started Version 1.0 shortly after leaving the Marine Corps. I had a lot of things I wanted to pursue, but most of them were still in the early stages and required a lot of effort just to get anywhere.
By the end of this version, I want to have more of my life figured out. I want to be comfortable with how I present myself, able to produce art and music consistently, have my existing technical projects and portfolio in a good place, make real progress toward supporting myself through Keystone Home Systems, and develop Divine Horizon into a more active community.
What I’m working toward is getting these parts of my life developed enough that the fundamentals take less conscious effort. I’m already building on what I’ve learned, but I want to reach a point where I can consistently produce the results I have in mind without so much time going into skills and routines I’m still trying to establish.
I’ve set February 7, 2028 as the end of this version. I’ll review what I actually accomplished then, including what didn’t work out, before starting 2.0.
The Current Record below explains what I want from each area, why it matters to me, and what I expect to have established by the end of 1.0.

Written September 2026
I think how someone presents themselves says a lot about them. It’s often the first thing people notice, and I enjoy being able to express myself in ways that don’t necessarily fit people’s expectations. I’ve never liked the idea that everyone should look or behave a certain way just because it’s considered normal. I enjoy having a lot of variation in how I express myself, which connects to my broader ideal of allowing maximum variation within minimal constraints.
I have a fairly specific idea of how I’d like to look. Physically, I’m aiming for a slim figure with more developed legs and glutes, less body hair, and a hairstyle that suits me, holds its shape throughout the day, and looks good from different angles. I also want to develop a distinctive androgynous wardrobe that feels like my own and that I’m comfortable wearing in public.
There are still parts of my appearance I’m unhappy with, particularly my torso and hair, and some of those changes might take longer or require more significant procedures. For now, I want to focus on what I can realistically establish through changes to my habits, grooming, and presentation.
By February 7, 2028, I expect to have a sustainable diet and workout routine that I can follow consistently, ideally have completed full-body laser hair removal, and have a wardrobe, hairstyle, and grooming routine that let me present myself the way I want without spending entire days preparing. I have an image in my head of what I think I could look like, and I want to see how close I can get to it.
Target date: February 7, 2028
Have a diet plan established and have followed it consistently for at least one month.
Have a workout plan established and have followed it consistently for at least one month.
Have completed my full-body laser hair removal treatment plan.
Have at least five outfits that reflect my desired style and that I can consistently wear in public.
Find a hairstyle I like that looks good throughout the day, even when I’m outside, without constantly having to fix it.
Have all five Form goals completed and consistently implemented together as part of my everyday life.

Version 1.0 is my current development period. The six branches represent the main areas I’m actively building through February 7, 2028. Together, they form the foundation I want in place before moving into later versions, all in service of the longer-term goal of building an Automated Town.
